This year we have changed the dates, which is far from usual — and instead the event will take place on 7–9 August 2026. The reason? It clashed with the Hessisch Oldendorf meeting. But we are pretty sure this new date will be at least as magical as ever. Friday 7 August – Drop-in from 2:00 PM! Just roll in, pick your favorite spot, park your VW and start winding down in the best company imaginable. We have the entire Björna Camping to ourselves, and if you arrive with an air-cooled Volkswagen and camp on site, you stay completely FREE of charge. Service building, toilets, showers, electricity and water are available — and yes, all of this is free for you as well. If you arrive in another type of vehicle to sleep in, we will arrange a separate area just beside the event grounds where you can tuck in for the night. So fold out the rock ’n’ roll bed in your bus, roll out your sleeping mat or lean back with a cold beer in hand — because meanwhile, Övik Bug Fans will be preparing a dinner for you that we invite you to! The rest of Friday evening? Pure Volkswagen joy — chatting, laughter and togetherness until the sun sets (and maybe a bit longer…). Saturday – the big day! The official program will be released during the spring, but those of you who have been here before know what to expect: Top 5 People’s Choice Lotteries Finnkampen Valve cover race Live troubadour evening And loads of fun, cars and great atmosphere FINNKAMPEN: Finland took the victory last year — but 2026 is the year Sweden takes the GOLD! The setup? Secret of course… but expect drama, laughter and excitement in the air! THE VALVE COVER RACE IS BACK THIS YEAR! Dust off the workshop, sharpen your creativity and start building — because here we decide who has the fastest cover in the north! Rules for the valve cover race: The cover must be built from a standard sheet metal valve cover from a Type 1 air-cooled engine. Wheel diameter: max 80 mm Wheelbase: max the length of the cover Weight: max 600 grams Total width: max 200 mm The cover will be weighed and inspected upon registration on site. The track length is 6 meters with free rolling. Two covers race at the same time! Registration takes place at the event! May the best builder win! Towards the end of the meeting – awards ceremony at the campsite! After the awards and lottery drawing, Övik Bug Fans will fire up a large grill that everyone may use (unless you prefer your own grill). Eat properly — because then the magic begins! Our favorites Daniel & Marcus will take the stage with their guitars and deliver a MAGICAL troubadour evening right in the middle of all the Volkswagens. Sauna & wilderness hot tub on site! A combined sauna/wild hot tub trailer will be ready at the campsite: Friday: warm from approx. 5:00 PM Saturday: warm from approx. 4:00 PM Skip cooking — just enjoy!
