jeff01
I have some questions with performance camshafts.I noticed that scat is the cheapest but can it be used or it dies really quick? One guy from USA told me that he has never seen scat cams working more than 1200miles. is it really so bad? What about scat lifters? are they harder than stock ones or not?Greetings from estonia :)Thanks :) Quote Link to comment
mikko k
I have used Scat cams in type 4 (and in type 1 also) and they are just fine. Just like lifters too. One critical point is that you have to do the cam break in right way. Good lubricant is needeed and you are not allowed engine to idle at first about 30min. Minimum rpm is 2-2500!
